If you are a dancer or a parent of a dancer, coming to the studio ready to work with a positive attitude will allow you and your fellow dancers to get the most out of every class. Setting a great example for others in the class will collectively improve the results of each class or practice session.
Here are some ways to make sure this happens…
- Come to class with enthusiasm and be positive
- Keep an open mind to ideas from the teacher or other dancers
- Respect your teacher and other dancers in class
- Get to class early and make sure you have time to warm up properly
- Listen carefully – leave your cell phone in the dressing room
- Be aware of the feelings of others in class
- Keep in mind that practices are for PRACTICING, keep your focus
- Be BIG, not petty
- Always be loyal to your classmates
- Just enjoy your self out on the dance floor
- Help your teachers lead their classes through your example
- Be your best every day, every class
- Learn to accept critiques, it will make you a better dancer and student
- Appreciate your teacher / coach
