Spring is here!
Although in Wisconsin we may get the occasional March or April snow flurry, the calendar tells us that spring has officially begun.
Spring is a time of new beginnings all around us. Baby birds will soon appear, flowers will start popping out, and days have already become longer. After a long Wisconsin winter, we are all refreshed when springtime arrives.
Rather than thinking of this season as the “end” of the dance year, what if we considered it a time when growth can continue to peak?
Instead of becoming stagnant and passive as we rehearse and clean recital dances, we can find new ways to perfect what we are doing. How expressive can you be with the choreography? How much higher can you jump? How cleanly can you finish that pirouette? Challenge yourself to learn something new in these final months of class before our big recital.
With hard work comes rewards. That being said, hard work also requires time of rest and refreshment. Be sure to enjoy a little break in the regular routine while we are on spring break! Then, come back rejuvenated and ready to rock these next couple months of dance!
