The importance of being a lifelong learner cannot be underestimated. Our staff at Liberty Dance Center have many unique skills and attributes that they bring to the table. One of the most important things that they share is a willingness to learn and grow. In our last blog, we talked about collaboration, which goes hand in hand with learning.
Learn and Grow
From July 27th-30th, Miss Kate and a group of teachers attended the Dance Teacher Web Conference in Las Vegas. Miss Kate, Miss Chealse, Miss Lori, Miss Ashley, and Miss Olivia spent three a half jam-packed days learning from experts in the field of dance.
Some of the seminars focused on choreography, others were focused on teaching strategies for specific age groups, and the most fun classes were the ones where we got to dance! Broadway, jazz, ballet, and contemporary classes are just a few of the classes we tried.
We pushed our bodies hard and expanded our minds. We came back with new skills and memories that will last a lifetime.
Keep Growing Every Day
Learning doesn’t stop because you’re established in your career. Learning doesn’t stop because you’ve earned a dance degree or certification. The most successful people in dance and in life are those who realize there’s so much left to learn and who strive to keep growing every day.
As we approach the sixteenth season of dancing at Liberty Dance Center, let’s make it the best one yet by taking the horse by the reins and learning something new! We are all in this together and we can always help each other grow both inside and out of the dance studio.
