This fall we will be starting our 15th dance season! We love to celebrate milestones like this and also love a good year long theme to keep us all engaged, motivated and excited during both the highs and the lows.
This year’s theme is GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME. You will see a giant 3 foot by 3 foot canvas in our vestibule with that quote and we hope that will help set the tone every day, every class and for every person that walks through our Liberty Dance Center doors this season.
Good Things Take Time
In the fast paced, “insta-famous” world we are living in nowadays, I think it’s so easy to get frustrated and contemplate quitting when things get hard. We see everyone’s highlight reel on social media or during conversations and don’t see the struggle, the “failures” and frustrations that go into those successes.
My goal for this upcoming season is to help remind our students that, you guessed it, good things take TIME. You can’t walk into your first ballet class and expect to get put up on pointe shoes the next class. And you can’t expect to be able to get that tricky tap combo on the first shot. You won’t get your splits without stretching daily, for YEARS!
It’s hard. It’s easy to become impatient. But you know what? That’s what makes the success taste that much better!
So I encourage you to keep that quote in mind every time you face a challenging time or take a hard class. Good things take time. They also take hard work, positive mindset, and dedication…but most importantly it takes the patience to let it unfold over time.
I can’t wait to celebrate season 15 with all of you. It took YEARS to grow into the studio that we have become and continue to grow to be. We thank you for your support and love over those years. It’s been a wild ride and we can’t wait for many more years together doing what we love…dancing!!
