It’s that time of year again! Hard to believe that we are in our final month of summer vacation and school will be starting up again in a few weeks! We will be starting season 15 at Liberty Dance Center in just two weeks and we can’t wait! Here are some tips and tricks for helping your dancers prep for the new season.
Stretch and Strengthening
If you haven’t been stretching this summer, now is the time to start! Get your body back into the swing of things gradually so that you’re not as sore when you’re back at it in the studio. Try adding some sit-ups and push-ups to your routine too, to build endurance and strength!
Pack Your Dance Bag Now
Be prepared for the first week of dance by packing your dance bag now! Don’t wait until the night before to discover that your dance shoes no longer fit or you need a new leotard. Being prepared is the easiest way to stave off last minute chaos!
Set Some Goals
Think about the upcoming dance year. What do you hope to accomplish? Do you want to learn as many new skills as possible? Become more confident and expressive? Try a new style of dance that you haven’t dabbled in before? Stand in the front of the class more often? Set some clear goals with yourself that you can check in with over the dance year.
We can’t wait to see your smiling faces back in the studio! Enjoy these last few weeks of summer fun before we kick off season 15 with a bang!
